The evening began with one person from each of the five district schools holding the American flag and walking into the gym. Floral Park’s representative, Philson Caballes, who has expressed an interest in joining the military, was an outstanding selection for this role. This display of patriotism was an excellent way to kick off a fun-filled night of athletic competition at the annual District Sports Night.

The event takes place each year at Carey High School. This year’s team, coached by Mr. Drivas, Ms. D’Ammassa and Ms. Mosie finished in third place behind first place New Hyde Park and second place Carey.

Floral Park won first place in the scavenger hunt and performed an exceptional dance that excited the crowd. Check back later for more details of the event.
