Research indicates that students who participate in extracurricular activities perform better academically in school.

So what better way to get the class of 2023 heading in that direction than to expose the students to the abundance of clubs that Floral Park Memorial has to offer?

Thanks to the efforts of Ms. D’Ammassa, Student Activities Director, and the entire guidance department at Floral Park Memorial, incoming from all of the local elementary schools were invited to this after school event. Students and parents were greeted in the junior high cafeteria, and listened to a brief speech before making their way to the senior high cafeteria in order to view poster boards for every club. FPM students also volunteered to answer questions and encourage the sixth graders to think about joining these clubs as early as their first year.

At 4:30 pm, the stands were packed to watch the defending Long Island Champion and State Runner-Up Floral Park Memorial girls’ varsity basketball team in its battle against Lynbrook High School.
