With the graduation of three top scoring guards (Frank Phelan, Brian Fox, and Matthew Jounakos), the Floral Park Memorial boys’ basketball team will need several players to elevate their games this year. If his appearance on Sunday, October 21 at the Hicksville PAL is any indication, senior point guard Jayson Delgado is more than ready for the challenge.

Delgado was selected by the Nassau County coaches as one of ten players to compete against All-Stars from Suffolk County in the annual pre-season contest. He scored 26 points in a very impressive performance that has to give up enormous confidence heading into the new season. Along with senior Michael Matich, Delgado should have the Knights ready for the transition from two, four-year players in Fox and Phelan.
