As the State Championship meet approaches on March 8, 2025, our school’s top athletes, Thomas Small, and Maxwell Krapf, are ready to make their mark. Both have had an incredible indoor track season, setting new school records and inspiring their peers.
Thomas Small has been unstoppable, breaking records in the 55-meter dash and 55-meter high hurdles. His blistering 55-meter dash time of 6.59 seconds left everyone in awe, especially after breaking this record three times in less than 24 hours. Small also excelled in the 55-meter high hurdles with a remarkable time of 8.30 seconds. Beyond his track achievements, he is a dedicated member of the competitive marching band, showcasing his diverse talents.
Maxwell Krapf has dominated long-distance events, holding school records for the 5K across all grade levels. His indoor track accomplishments include a school record of 2:37.96 in the 1000-meter run and 4:31.06 in the 1600-meter event.
As these exceptional athletes head to the State Championship, the entire school community is rallying behind them. Their dedication and achievements have set new standards for our athletic program and inspired fellow students.
After the indoor championships, both Small and Krapf will transition into the outdoor Spring track and field season, where they are expected to continue their winning streaks. Fans can look forward to seeing these talented runners take on new challenges and possibly set more records in events tailored to the outdoor season.
