This year, the Travel Club embarked on an enriching journey across the United Kingdom, exploring the vibrant cities of London, York, and Edinburgh. Led by English teacher Mr. Anthony D’Amico and World Language teacher Mrs. Norka Delgado, the trip offered students an unforgettable opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history, diverse cultures, and iconic landmarks.
Students who attended included Samantha Bonini-Capello, Kiera Burke, Lauren Filoso, Hannah Florkowski, Franco Gnezda, Cillian McCormack, Finn Packert, Sofia Pierno, Jackson Pollack, and Frank Rivilli. Throughout the week, students experienced a wide array of educational and cultural activities, gaining valuable insights while creating lasting memories.
In London, students marveled at the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London, reflected on literary history during a Charles Dickens walking tour, and explored contemporary art at the Tate Modern. They also visited Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, learning all about British history and government.
Their adventures continued in York, where students climbed Clifford’s Tower for sweeping views of the city and took part in ghost tours that shared the haunting legends of one of England’s oldest cities.
In Edinburgh, students enjoyed the city’s dramatic architecture and cultural charm. A highlight for many was sampling traditional fish and chips while soaking in the local atmosphere.
The Travel Club’s journey was more than just a sightseeing trip—it was a week of experiences that will stay with students for years to come.
