Floral Park Memorial’s inaugural Poet Laureate, Giuliana DePaola, exemplifies creativity and leadership within our school community. As a driving force behind the art and literary magazine Trumpet and the Creative Writing Club, she passionately promotes creative expression and thoughtful writing. Giuliana is an inclusive, inspirational, and motivational leader fostering a welcoming environment where students feel both supported and challenged to discover their own voices. While she continues to grow as an accomplished writer, she also guides others on their creative journeys. Her poetry captures the essence of the teenage experience, making her work both accessible and deeply relatable to her peers.
