Though we are at two different schools in the district, it’s always amazing to know that we can support one another in our achievements! The Florettes knew it would be an amazing idea to go to the Knights vs. Seahawks football game on September 20th to watch the Pirettes perform their halftime routine because it’s their first time competing at LIDTA! The LIDTA, or the Long Island Dance Team Association is an organization that offers a variety of competitions and challenging experiences for dance teams. The support radiated from team to team, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were able to chat with the girls and take a group picture. Not only did we come and cheer them on, but they returned the honor and also came to cheer us on at our homecoming! It was an awesome surprise because we were able to have a Q&A with the girls and bond with them over dance, school, etc. I know that myself, along with the rest of the Florettes, and the coaches were so grateful to have such an amazing support system. We cannot wait to see the amazing things they accomplish at competition!
