Pasta With Meat Sauce Recipe:

  1. Season 4oz ground beef/turkey (I used 93% lean, 7% fat ground turkey) with sea salt and garlic powder to taste. Mix well.
  2. Spray a fry pan lightly so the meat doesn’t stick. Cook the meat in the fry pan over medium heat. Try to break up the meat into smaller pieces as it cooks.
  3. While the meat is cooking, boil about 4oz of pasta according to the box directions (I used Barilla elbows, but you can choose your favorite pasta).
  4. Drain the pasta and leave it for now.
  5. Once your meat is browned, break it up into very small pieces. Then, leave it on to simmer.
  6. Take 1 cup of marinara sauce (I used Barilla Marinara) and pour it over the meat in the saucepan.
  7. Stir the meat and sauce around until it is well mixed. Then, cover it and leave it on to simmer.
  8. Pour the drained pasta onto a plate.
  9. When the meat sauce is a good temperature, pour it over the pasta.
  10. Optional: I sprinkled parmesan cheese onto mine, but if you want a very cheesy taste, you can put shredded mozzarella cheese on it and put it into the oven under a medium broil for a minute or two.
