Cheesesteak Sandwiches

Serves 2-3

  1. Dice up a medium sized onion.
  2. Cut up 3⁄4lb roast beef (I used Boar’s Head Roast Beef) into small pieces and season it with a little garlic powder.
  3. Preheat a skillet to medium heat, spray on some non-stick cooking spray and toss your diced onion onto it. Wait for the onion to get a nice brown color, but not too dark.
  4. With your diced onion still on the skillet, put in your roast beef and mix it around, trying to get the flavor mixed all around.
  5. Separately, get a rimmed baking pan and spray non-stick cooking spray on it or line it with parchment paper.
  6. Put 6 open rolls facing upwards on the pan (I used Martin’s Potato Rolls) and put approximately 1⁄4 of a cup of mozzarella cheese on one side of each roll.
  7. Now that you have your rolls ready, take your roast beef and onion, and evenly distribute them on the other side of each of your potato rolls.
  8. Preheat the oven to a high broil (broil means cooking from the top down).
  9. Cook the rolls with the ingredients for about 3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve with any sides, and enjoy! I served mine with green beans.
