Floral Park Memorial students Pawan S. Mirchandani and Mahesh Tiwari have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
