Florettes Bring Home First Place

Long Island Dance Team Association’s 1st Competition of the year was held at Commack Middle School on Saturday January 6th.  With over 50 schools from all over Long Island – Commack Middle School’s gymnasium was pumping with the big 3 E’s – energy, enthusiasm and excitement!  The bleachers were filled to capacity with spectators cheering on their home teams.  Floral Park Memorial High School’s Kickline Team – the Florettes competed in two events – POM and Kick.  The Kick team competed with new uniforms and a well-choreographed routine at 8amAt noon, the POM routine brought the house down and brought home 1st place in Varsity Division I Large Group.  It was so exciting to win the first competition of the year and it sets the stage for amazing things to come in our next two upcoming competitions.  Thank you to our coaches, captains and the entire team for their unwavering dedication, hard work and commitment.  Your passion makes us stronger as a team.
