Long Island Dance Team Association’s 1st Competition of the year was held at Commack Middle School on Saturday January 6th. With over 50 schools from all over Long Island – Commack Middle School’s gymnasium was pumping with the big 3 E’s – energy, enthusiasm and excitement! The bleachers were filled to capacity with spectators cheering on their home teams. Floral Park Memorial High School’s Kickline Team – the Florettes competed in two events – POM and Kick. The Kick team competed with new uniforms and a well-choreographed routine at 8am. At noon, the POM routine brought the house down and brought home 1st place in Varsity Division I Large Group. It was so exciting to win the first competition of the year and it sets the stage for amazing things to come in our next two upcoming competitions.
