It could be the rise of Donald Trump in the Republican presidential polls. Maybe it’s the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. Or it might be the passion and commitment of club leaders Samir Rahimy, Noah Reisch and Michael Picardi.

But whatever the reason, it’s quite apparent that the Investment Club has generated a buzz at Floral Park Memorial High School. A class full of students listened intently and asked questions throughout the 35 minute introductory presentation on how to invest in the stock market.

“It was very informative,” said senior Azmain Chowdhury.

Junior Michael Goga, fresh off his passionate cheering for the Nassau County boys championship soccer team, inquired about the Dow Jones Industrial Average, hedge funds and tax policies.

The club plans on beginning a simulated game next week that will run through February.
