On September 20th, the South Floral Park Fire Department hosted a parade and celebration of their 100th anniversary. It was an eventful and fun filled day. The parade featured their district marching band and local officials. The ceremony took place afterwards and included speeches from many town dignitaries as well as members of the fire department. Many bystanders got a front row seat for the festivities, marching alongside the parade with a wonderful performance from the band, the Marching Knights of Sewanhaka. Afterwards, everyone got to enjoy refreshments from local food trucks. This was a wonderful tribute to our brave firefighters who continue to work and protect us today!
