Both the boys and girls basketball teams at Floral Park Memorial recently completed very successful seasons.  But on April 30, the gymnasium was full of bouncing basketballs and whistles for a different reason.

The Student Council, led by adviser and 2014 Teacher of the Year Mrs. Faggioni, planned an evening competition to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.  This was the third year for the event.  Over $600 was raised this year.

In the junior high division, the winning team consisted of Armani O’Brady, Jayson Delgado and Tavin Pierre-Philippe.  The championship trophy for the senior high division was awarded to Jalon Robertson, Joshua Corbett and Fabrice Plaisimond.

Lorraine Hickman, James Guerriero, Jalon Robertson, and Shadner Edouasie (all members of the varsity basketball teams) volunteered to referee the games.
