Fighting To The End

Playing in the top conference based on ability has its benefits and drawbacks. For the Floral Park Memorial boys’ volleyball team, competing against the best teams in Nassau County was a difficult challenge. Even though the team finished the regular season with a record of 1-15, the Knights still earned the six seed in the Class B playoffs. Floral Park faced the 11th-seeded Roslyn Bulldogs on Nov. 2. Unfortunately, Floral Park was not able to advance, falling to Roslyn in three games, 25-20, 25-20, 25-14.

The Knights played hard throughout the year for first-year coach Mr. Cook. Floral Park should be placed in a lower conference next year, and with that change, the school will likely see many more wins.
