On November 15, the Leo’s Club hosted a successful blood drive in partnership with the New York Blood Center. Students and staff from Floral Park Memorial High School came together and collected 57 pints of blood – enough to help save 171 lives! A total of 87 students stepped up and attempted to donate, demonstrating remarkable generosity, teamwork, and school spirit. SCHSD medical assistants and Leo Club volunteers provided care and support for donors throughout the process, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe. Through this experience, we learned valuable lessons about how to promote and organize events, as well as the side effects and recovery process involved in blood donation.
